2026 Rec Baseball

The mission of the Totowa PAL Baseball program is to provide quality, structured youth baseball activities in the local community. Our developmental program teaches baseball fundamentals, good sportsmanship, competitiveness, and teamwork in a positive and safe environment. Participants will have an equal opportunity to learn and compete while knowledgeable volunteers promote the philosophies and principles of community and fair play.

Our teams range from Pre-K through 8th grade:

4 year olds - Wiffle Ball (Co-Ed)

Pre-K & Kindergarten - T Ball

1st & 2nd - Coach Pitch

3rd & 4th- Farm

5th & 6th- Little League

7th & 8th- Pony

Practices start in late March/early April with games beginning in April and running through mid-June. At the upper levels (3rd through 8th), the Totowa PAL plays teams from the surrounding towns, including Woodland Park, Little Falls, North Haledon, Haledon, and Wayne.

The PAL will provide a game jersey, baseball hat, and socks for each player. Baseball pants will be provided with the uniform and do NOT need to be returned. Parents are encouraged to purchase bats, batting helmets (with cages or flaps depending upon the level), and fielding gloves for their individual child. Protective cups are required and chest/heart guards are strongly encouraged.

**Requests for teammates/coaches or practice night are NOT guaranteed. Refunds will NOT be given when requests cannot be met.**

WINTER WORKOUTS (Grades 1 through 8 ONLY - Additional Fee at Registration)

This year, the Totowa PAL will again offer WINTER WORKOUTS for recreation players in Grades 1 through 8 (Coach Pitch through Pony levels). Each session will include stretching, arm warm ups, agility drills, body weight strength exercises, fielding/throwing drills and hitting drills. There will also be some speed/running work.

$125 total for all six (6) sessions. That's less than $21 per session!

Dates (All SUNDAYS): 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29

Times: 2:30pm-4:00pm (Grades 1-4) and 4:00pm-5:30pm (Grades 5-8)

**Grades allocated to the specific time frames may be adjusted depending upon the breakdown of individuals registered for winter workouts.**

April 19: Baseball Can Shake at Shop Rite
April 25: Picture Day
Typically, games/practices are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Saturdays although Tuesdays and Fridays are also in play. It is extremely unlikely that any games or practices will take place on Thursdays or Sundays.
At this time, none of the schedules with exact dates for games or practices have been created. Game schedules *should* be available on or around March 22. Practice schedules will be arranged by your specific coaches around that time.

Baseball season is a BEAST, with far more involved than just forming teams and playing games.
