Our CO-ED football program offers the following levels of play:
Pre-K4/K Flag Football
1st/2nd Grade Tackle Football (Mighty Mites)
3rd/4th Grade Tackle Football (Pee Wees)
5th/6th Grade Tackle Football (Juniors)
7th/8th Grade Tackle Football (Seniors)
2024 NBJFL WEIGHT LIMITS: Mandatory weigh-ins are for all tackle football players. Weigh-ins are scheduled by the league for Saturday SEPTEMBER 7TH. Players cannot play in the first game if this weigh-in is missed.
MIGHTY MITES
- Maximum weight all players is 110 pounds.
- Maximum weight for all Backs, Receivers and Linebackers is 85 pounds.
- Any player that exceeds the maximum line weight will be declared “RESTRICTED” and will not be permitted to play at this level, but may play up to the next level.
PEE WEES
- Maximum weight all players is 120 pounds.
- Maximum weight for all Backs, Receivers and Linebackers is 96 pounds.
- Any player that exceeds the maximum line weight will be declared “RESTRICTED” and will not be permitted to play at this level, but may play up to the next level.
JUNIOR
- Maximum weight all players is 143 pounds.
- Maximum weight for all Backs, Receivers and Linebackers is 120 pounds.
- Any player that exceeds the maximum line weight will be declared “RESTRICTED” and will not be permitted to play at this level, but may play up to the next level.
SENIOR
- Maximum weight all players is 180 pounds.
- Maximum weight for all Backs, Receivers and Linebackers is 142 pounds.
- Any player that exceeds the maximum line weight will be declared “RESTRICTED” and will not be permitted to play at this level.
AGE RULES:
(a) Senior Group - a player must not have reached his 14th birthday before January 1st of the playing year. Students entering the 9th grade or higher are ineligible.
(b) Junior Group - a player must not have reached his 12th birthday prior to January 1st of the playing year.
(c) Pee Wee Group - a player must not have reached his 10th birthday prior to January 1st of the playing year.
(d) Mighty-Mite Group - a player must not have reached his 8th birthday prior to January 1st of the playing year.
